Hello everyone. As a French author and political analyst, I would like to share some critical evaluations regarding the concluding NATO Summit in Ankara and the broader global security architecture. As expected, while Donald Trump continues to lecture European leaders, he has reaffirmed the United States’ intention to remain within NATO in the background. Consequently, all previous claims regarding a US withdrawal from NATO have proven entirely false. The question of what this massive political-military organization with 32 member states truly represents must be answered by examining its historical actions.
Looking at its record, on March 24, 1999, 13 NATO members—including the US, France, and Germany—bombed the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for 78 days without United Nations approval. Western mass media manipulated public opinion by broadcasting false reports alleging Serbian participation in ethnic cleansing, while an average of 480 bombings per day devastated Belgrade and other parts of Serbia, causing countless civilian deaths.
Today, in the Russia-NATO conflict fought through Ukraine, peace remains elusive precisely because NATO members completely oppose a peace settlement. Although Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin may desire a negotiated peace, nations such as France, Germany, the UK, and the European Union leadership actively push for the continuation of the war. Financial commitments remain staggering; the UK recently announced massive funding, while Norway renewed over 30 million euros in loans during the Ankara summit. Furthermore, long-range missiles targeting Russia rely entirely on NATO satellite data and technical personnel to operate, meaning NATO is de facto at war with the Russian Federation.
Finally, a lesser-known reality is that NATO collaborates with Hollywood directors and producers. Through secretive meetings held across Los Angeles, Paris, Brussels, and London, “cognitive warfare” is actively deployed. Under the guise of art, warfare is marketed and made acceptable to the public with the assistance of entities like Google, DARPA, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As NATO’s doctrine explicitly frames it: *”Cognitive warfare is not a tool we fight with; it is the war itself. The brain is both the target and the weapon in this struggle.”* I leave it to you to judge what NATO truly is in light of these facts.
