Our world is indeed in an extremely critical situation. Indicators of a Third World War are right before our eyes. Conflicts are raging, blood is being shed, and innocent people are being slaughtered in every corner of the globe. This dangerous trajectory forces humanity to reflect deeply. The 21st century will either be an era in which conflicts are resolved or it will mark the end of humanity.
In this regard, the World Civilizations Initiative Research Center (DÜNYA-MER) is successfully fulfilling the great responsibility it has undertaken. Today, there is no other organization displaying effective leadership toward ensuring global security and cooperation. The United Nations seems to have completely forgotten its core responsibilities. When the president of a nation is imprisoned, no questions are asked, and international law is rendered completely ineffective. This sets a highly dangerous precedent for arbitrary interventions. Similarly, the world remains a passive spectator to covert occupations carried out under the guise of friendship, as seen in the case of Cuba.
I congratulate Dr. Doğu Perinçek, Chairman of the Vatan Party, for leading these vital efforts and creating a platform that inspires genuine hope. I believe DÜNYA-MER will accomplish even greater work in the coming period toward establishing a fair international order in line with the common interests of humanity.
As analysts and scholars, we clearly comprehend how critical the current global state of affairs is. The solution lies in an irreversible transition toward a multipolar world order. The construction of this new order relies on the solidarity of nations and states across the Eurasian space. As Halford Mackinder famously noted, the power that controls Eurasia and its heartland commands a decisive influence over global balances.
Today, Eurasian nations have taken the lead in the global economy and international diplomacy. With a membership exceeding 101 million, the Communist Party of China stands as a primary voice in global affairs. Türkiye holds a critical position in this framework through its strategic geography, strong military capacity, and significant weight in international diplomacy. Under the leadership of nations such as Türkiye, Russia, China, and Iran, establishing a fair and multipolar world where people live in safety and peace is entirely achievable.
Classical military occupation has largely given way to neo-imperialism, which seeks to manipulate internal mechanisms and govern nations for external interests. To restore global justice, a resolute stance must be taken against this form of neo-imperialism. Platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS constitute the most solid frameworks for advancing this multipolar structure.
